Young Drivers ‘Pledge to Win’ Terms and Conditions

1. By entering the 'Pledge to Win' competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. The competition is organised by the East Midlands branch of the Local Authority Road Safety Officers Association (EMLARSOA) of which the following organisations are all members: Derbyshire County Council; Derby City Council; Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council, Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, Northamptonshire County Council, Nottinghamshire County Council; Nottingham City Council and Rutland County Council.
3. The EMLARSOA reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or rules at anytime without prior notice.
4. In the event of any dispute relating to the competition the decision of the EMLARSOA will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
5. To qualify for the competition you must be resident in one of the following areas: Derbyshire or Derby City; Leicestershire or Leicester City; Lincolnshire; Northamptonshire; Nottinghamshire or Nottingham City; or Rutland and be between 17 and 25 years of age. The EMLARSOA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
6. Throughout the period of the competition only one entry per person is allowed. The competition is not open to any persons (or members of their families) associated in the development or operation of the ‘No More Lives Wasted’ campaign.
7. Competition entrants must complete in full the competition entry criteria set out in the competition entry page on this website. Any information submitted by you must be personal to and relate specifically to you.
8. The EMLARSOA reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and choose a replacement if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.
9. The EMLARSOA do not accept responsibility for entries that are lost or delayed in transmission, or which are not received for any reason. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
10. The monthly prize draw will be made on the 5th of each month or the next available working day. One winner will be chosen at random from entries received between the 5th of one month and the 4th of the following month.
11. The prize winner will be notified within 28 days of each monthly prize draw. Failure to accept the prize after 21 days of notification may result in disqualification and selection of an alternative winner. The name of the prize winner will be published on the website.
12. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The EMLARSOA reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at any time.
13. The EMLARSOA do not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the competition or as a result of accepting the competition prize.
14. The winner of the competition may be requested to take part in promotional activities by the EMLARSOA.
15. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK legislation that is to verify eligibilty to enter the competition and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
16. The details you provide may be used by the EMLARSOA to keep you informed of any changes to legislation or of new road safety campaigns.
